Abstract:The Belt and Road Initiative provides unprecedented opportunities and development space for the tourism industry. It is a new perspective and a new direction for the development of the tourism industry. Strengthening exchange and cooperation in the field of tourism and promoting people-to-people connectivity have become important topics and consensus for the countries along the Belt and Road. This article analyzes four aspects of the cooperation development of tourism under the Belt and Road Initiative，namely the status of tourism cooperation along the Belt and Road，the status of cooperation between major countries and regions along the Belt and Road，the tourism investment conditions along the Belt and Road and the cooperation of local tourism along the Belt and Road. Studies have shown that tourism cooperation has become a strategic support for the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative，and the tourism cooperation between major countries and regions along the Belt and Road are tending to a good prospect. The tourism investment in countries and regions along the Belt and Road has consolidated the basis of tourism cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. The cooperation of local tourism along the Belt and Road is in full swing.
