“一带一路”与孟中印缅经济走廊建设

Abstract:BCIM Economic Corridor is a sub-regional cooperation designed under the framework of the BCIM Regional Cooperation Forum，which is jointly promoted by Bangladesh，China，India and Myanmar. It is one of the six important economic corridors under “The Belt and Road” Initiative. Promoting the BCIM Economic Corridor construction will drive linkage development of East Asia，Southeast Asia and South Asia. Currently，BCIM Economic Corridor has achieved initial results，but its comparative advantages under “The Belt and Road” Initiative have not yet fully play out. Based on the analysis of the status of political affiliation，interconnection，economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchange between the four countries，this report would specify the problems in the aspects of low political trust between China and India，the urgent need for upgrading the backward traffic，the lack of humanistic communication，unsmooth regional economic development and other issues. To solve the above problems，Bangladesh，China，India and Myanmar can take corresponding measures to promote BCIM Economic Corridor construction under “The Belt and Road” Initiative.
