Abstract:With the marine economy having entered the high-tech era，the new marine strategic industries featured by high and new technology had been emerging as the competitive frontier for most coastal countries and regions. Based on the definition of the new marine strategic industry，the report mainly analyzed the current development and found out the existing spatial distribution problems of the new marine strategic industries in Jiangsu coastal region involving the aspects of public awareness，plan and policy systems，financial investment，etc. Moreover，the report proposed some policy suggestions to stimulate the new marine economy development in Jiangsu coastal region，including building up a good development atmosphere of the new marine strategic industry，formulating policy systems and coordination mechanism，forming a long-term effective mechanism for the new marine strategic industry development，raising the innovative capability and speeding up transformation of scientific and technological achievements，building the new marine strategic industry development zones，increasing financial investment in the new marine strategic industries and optimizing its financial mechanism. Also it attached importance to protect marine eco-environment in order to maintain the sustainable development of the new marine strategic industries.
