Abstract:China’s auto competitiveness is improved generally，But compared with USA，German，French，Japan and South Korea，it is obviously at a competitive disadvantage. Even compared with the BRICS countries，China automobile industry’s international competitiveness is in the middle level. China automobile industry’s international competitiveness is slightly better than Brazil’s and Russia’s，but lower than India’s and South Africa’s. Under the policy promotion，new energy vehicles in China is in a stage of accelerated development，but the overall size of the market is still small. In our country，policies and regulations which have issued by government department played an important role to promote the healthy growth of the auto industry. But there are also some disadvantages，it is necessary to make further adjustments. In future，lightweight，electric and intelligent will be the trendence of development of the auto industry，it will be possible to mass customization production，auto industry’s business model will continue innovation with internet utilizing.
