Abstract:The Belt and Road initiative proposed by China will bring about new opportunities in infrastructure construction，economic development and financial cooperation in Asia，which will promote the recovery of Asian and world economy and benefit Asian countries as well as the whole world. Infrastructure interconnection advocated by the Belt and Road initiative will not only contribute to China，but also to Japan’s economic recovery. China and Japan will achieve broad cooperation and development undoubtedly during the implementation of the Belt and Road initiative if Japan can uphold an opening and inclusive mind. However，Japan government will definitely compete with China with various measures during the implementation of the Belt and Road initiative，which leads to the coexistence of competition and cooperation in the economic game between China and Japan.
