Abstract:The Obama administration’s strong commitment to science，technology and innovations（STI）led to great breakthroughs in 2015 in national priorities such as advanced manufacturing，clean energy，information technology，life sciences and climate change. STI have been recognized as the key sources of power that helps the United States overcome the crisis，revitalize the economy and win the future. STI play an important role in maintaining U.S. global leadership in new science and technology frontiers and economic competitiveness. The Obama administration refreshed the Strategy for American Innovation and updated the strategic priorities and the policy framework in October 2015，which showed the ambition of the United States to maintain the global leadership in innovation and the strong commitment and confidence that STI are crucial to revitalizing the economy and restoring overall competitiveness.
