Abstract:Richly endowed with the cultural resources descended from the Song Dynasty，the ancient city Kaifeng enjoys comparative advantages in literature，art，architecture，historical celebrities，folk culture and amusement culture，etc. In recent years，focused on the cultural resources of the Song Dynasty，Kaifeng presented a sustainable construction idea of caring the overall layout with key projects to be developed，which at last helped Kaifeng realize its dream of wonderful flight. The industrial parks began to have shapes，cultural tourism was increasingly prosperous，cultural festivals became more and more attractive，Kaifeng embroidery was famous all over the country，and artistic works were streaming into the cultural market. Even so，there still existed problems in which the scenic spots weren’t developing in balance，the mainstream culture was lacking in further development or utilization，cultural festivals needed to be improved both in quality and quantity，and innovative services concerning cultural tourism were still lagged behind. We need to further explore and dig out the cultural connotation hiding in Song culture，make full use of Song culture reflecting in festivals，improve the cultural grade through science and technology and strengthen the propagation to spread out the culture，thus can we really built Kaifeng into a city shining with uncommon luster of an ancient capital.
