Abstract:In recent years, China has attached great importance to developing the relationship with the Pacific island countries, and has made great achievements in the fields of economy and diplomacy. And it is significant for China to enhance its international influence and safeguard national interests. However, there are some obstacles in the interaction between China and the Pacific island countries, which has a negative effect on the bilateral long-term development. This article mainly elaborates the development status quo, significance and obstacles of the relationship between China and the Oceania island countries in order to provide a reference for the friendly bilateral relationship.
