经济篇综述

Abstract:There are seven articles to cover the analysis on Macao’s economy，including gambling industry，infrastructure，financial-sector，tourism，convention and exhibition，public finance，and income and inflation. Based upon their analysis，there seems to be two critical elements determining Macao’s economy. One is its mini size of the economy，relying on outside environment while keeping its comparative closeness. The other one is gambling which is its main supporting industry. From these two determining elements，five characteristics are further derived：high speed of wealth accumulation；turbulence in development speed；unitary in economic structure；polarization in income distribution；and unsustainable model for development.
