Abstract:The paper studies comparatively several foreign suburb new town construction cases from UK，Japan，US and France，and considers that the construction of suburb new town shall pay attention to relative balance and self-contained，reserve space for future development and function adjustment，build diversified industrial structure，improve city taste and value with resource sharing，structure rail transit-oriented transportation system，reflect humanistic connotation and social needs，and coordinate and restrain competition from city center. The paper also puts forward enlightenments to Guangzhou.
