Abstract:The situational change and future development of Afghanistan is one of the global hot-spot issues. The international community shows much concern on Afghanistan, the countries of the region hope the war in Afghanistan could end soon, the life and security of people of Afghanistan be safeguarded, and the state of Afghanistan achieve an enduring peace and stable development. The member states of SCO share the same region with Afghanistan and there exists close relations and mutual cooperation. They also have common interest and needs in helping realize political reconciliation in Afghanistan and promoting cooperation with the Afghan government besides possessing a good basis and platform in this regard. Striving to meditate and carry out cooperation between SCO and Afghan government in the post-Afghanistan era is conducive to the development of Afghanistan and the general prosperity of the region.
