Abstract:In 2020，the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic was affecting the international community’s attention to Syria. The diplomatic situation faced by Syria is generally favorable，but there are also many challenges. Russia and Iran continue to give strong support to the Bashar regime in Syria；The United States has strengthened its sanctions against Syria，intervened in Syrian affairs by maintaining a small number of troops in Syria，and seized Syrian oil resources at the same time. Turkey directly intervened in the liberation of Idlib by Syrian and Russian coalition forces，and clashed with Syrian government forces for many times. The EU continues its policy of sanctions against the Syrian government. Israel continues to carry out frequent air strikes on Syria.；There have been more positive changes in relations between Syria and Arab countries. The Syrian government’s control over most parts of the country is more consolidated，the external situation is relatively improved，and the Syrian government’s foreign policy is more proactive.
