2020年叙利亚形势分析

Abstract:In 2020，Syriahas was in a state of tripartite division，and the domestic political situation has entered a stalemate phase of “no war，no peace”；the economy was under the verge of collapse，and the outstanding problems in economic life were the food crisis，the severe shortage of persistent electricity and fuel，the sharp depreciation of the Syrian pound，and the depletion of foreign exchange reserves. Prices surged and citizens’ purchasing power plummeted，high unemployment and poverty rates persisted，and the return of refugees at home and abroad was indefinite. The diplomatic environment in Syria has improved in 2020，still，there were many challenges ahead. In particular，at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic，Syria’s public health system which was ravaged by a nearly decade of civil war，was fragile and far from ready to deal with this pandemic.
