Abstract:With the increasing attention of Japanese society to digital transformation （DX），this concept has gradually expanded from the scope of enterprises to industrial digital transformation，government digital transformation，and urban digital transformation. Tokyo has also successively promulgated its own digital transformation strategy，hoping to deeply integrate various scenarios of the city with digital technology，and promote urban construction and governance by digital means. In September 2020，the Japanese cabinet clearly promoted digital transformation as a major national strategy. In 2021，the Japanese government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government established the Japan Digital Service Agency and the Tokyo Digital Service Bureau respectively. In addition，the Tokyo Metropolitan Government updates its annual strategic concept called “Future Tokyo”，which combines digital transformation with Tokyo’s urban development.
