Abstract:In November 2022，the political party coalition Pakatan Harapan won more parliament seats in Malaysia’s 15th national election，and the coalition leader，Anwar Ibrahim was appointed as the 10th Prime Minister. It becomes a fact that social media played an important role in the election. For example，in contrast to other main party alliances，the Pakatan Harapan had more supporters on twitter，and the influence of Anwar’s twitter account is much greater than other party leaders. Although we cannot say that the role of twitter determines the result of the general election，it has become an important issue for political parties today to make use of social media for better governance.
