Abstract:From the perspective of ocean history，the Dragon God Belief in ancient China also has an impact on Japan. The Dragon God Belief in Japan is born on the basis of the Dragon God Belief in China，India，etc.，merging native Snake God Belief and other native beliefs，and it is hybrid and utilitarian.After introduction of Chinese dragon culture in Yayoi period，and development in Kofun period，Nara period，Heian period，dragon god belief，with the increase and enhancement of function of dragon god，gradually become popular in Japan. In modern time，without getting rid of the dependence on dragon god belief，Japanese still retained the relevant customs as well as related shrines and temples.
