Abstract:In 2022，the publication of novels and novellas in Indonesia showed a polarized trend，and short stories became the main body of literary works during this period. Novels and novellas focus on historical writing and humanistic care；Short stories have excellent narrative skills，rich and diverse themes，and distinct regional characteristics. In 2022，the evaluation and awarding of various literary awards in Indonesia are proceeding in an orderly manner，and the number of literary activities is limited due to the impact of the epidemic and mainly completed under the leadership of the government. In general，in 2022，the serious literature field in Indonesia continued to suffer from the erosion of popular literature，and faced the development dilemma of worrying successor talents，a small number of high-quality products，and a relative lack of ideological expression.
