Abstract:2022，Japans trade with China totaled US $373.5 billion，a decrease of 4.6% compared to the previous year and once again turned into negative growth. 2022，Japan’s direct investment in China was 1.2039 trillion yen，accounting for 5.1% of Japan’s total outward direct investment. It ranked third by country and region，second only to the United States and Australia. 2022，the operating performance of Japanese-owned enterprises in China has significantly deteriorated compared to 2021. However，the majority of enterprises still plan to continue their businesses in China，but they are cautious about exploring new businesses and expanding investment. With the official implementation of RCEP，Japanese enterprises are actively utilizing relevant preferential measures under the RCEP framework，with a utilization rate of 60% in both exports and imports. On the other hand，over half of Japanese-owned Enterprises in China plan to readjust their supply chains to cope with changes in the business environment.
