Abstract:Digital infrastructure in BRICS countries is relatively developed，with nearly 90% of the population enjoying 3G and 4G mobile coverage，and 5G networks under deployment. The number of Internet users continues to rise，and the quality of Internet access keeps to be improved. However，mobile Internet tariff in BRICS countries is still higher than the global average，and there’s great room for improvement when it comes to women’s access to the Internet. At the same time，e-commerce in BRICS countries has a huge market，with highly active users on both domestic and foreign platforms，and is expected to maintain rapid growth in the post-Covid recovery period. Although digital payment is widely adopted in BRICS countries，bank card and cash on delivery remain the preferred payment methods for e-commerce transactions. Most BRICS enterprises have started to use AI technology and integrated their development with multiple industries，suggesting good development prospects.
