Abstract:In 2021，the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party successfully convened the 11th National Congress which summarized achievements and experiences in the past five years，made arrangements for the socialist reform and development in next five years. In 2021，in the face of the severe epidemic situation，the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party held the 2nd and 3rd Plenary Sessions，which stressed the implementation of the resolutions made by the 11th National Congress and deeply promoting socialist reform，and has been strengthening its centralized and unified leadership，continuing to coordinate epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development，advancing new vigorous progress in the cause of socialism. In 2021，when solemnly celebrating the 46th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic，the China-Laos Railway has been completed and opened to traffic，which marks a historic development in building a community with a shared future for China-Laos. Its successful experience provides a model for deepening cooperation among socialist countries in the world. Looking forward to 2022，Laos will follow the spirit of the 11th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party，based on its own reality，continue to adhere to the principled comprehensive reform line and accelerate the pace of socialist modernization.
