Abstract:As a smart and innovative city，New York City actively develops digital technology，promotes the integration of digital technology and advantageous industries，and vigorously develops typical digital economy industries and unicorn companies. The overall competitiveness of New York City’s digital economy ranks among the top in the world. This article introduces the development of New York’s digital economy from the aspects of digital infrastructure development，information industry，digital game industry，unicorns and technological innovation enterprises，and analyzes the overall competitiveness of New York’s digital economy. Then，this article sorts out a number of policies that New York City has introduced in promoting the development of the digital economy，including upgrading digital infrastructure，promoting the integration and open sharing of data resources，and promoting technological innovation，etc. Finally，it looks forward to the development prospects of New York City’s digital economy based on Rebuild，Renew，Reinvent：A Blueprint for New York City’s Economic Recovery.
