Abstract:With the development of European integration and economic globalization，more and more countries are appearing on the international stage. In addition to economic and military power，culture as soft power is now also a necessary element for the overall development of a country. Promoting the national image on an international scale by means of cultural communication has been paid more attention. In order to enhance its international influence，Slovakia is constantly promoting its cultural diplomacy by forming a “government-led，departments-cooperated” model of international cultural promotion，organizing traditional and special cultural activities in various ways，carrying out bilateral and multilateral cooperations，participating in international cooperation projects and making full use of international platforms，all of which have effectively helped to enhance Slovak competence of cultural diplomacy and bring its national culture to the world.
