Abstract:South Korea’s media industry is very unique，and its relationship with the government is very complicated. Whenever the regime changes，the news and public opinion environment in South Korea will also change accordingly. After decades of vicissitudes，the public opinion environment in today’s South Korea has been greatly improved，and the news industry can have a big impact on politics. In addition，the development of the Internet and the popularity of mobile platforms have greatly changed the way the Korean people obtain news and information. The traditional media such as newspapers is less influential as portals，social media，and video platforms become the main source of news for many people. The Korean media should actively adapt to the competition of the mobile Internet market and make more changes.
