2021～2022年印度尼西亚政治与外交形势

Abstract:This report analyzes the development and dynamics of Indonesian political issues in the past two years，from the aspects of government improvement，rule of law construction，political party landscape，national security and defense construction，foreign policies and diplomatic affairs. The report points out that Indonesian government generally maintains the consistency of its goals and policy framework in Jokowi’s second term，meanwhile，actively responds to severe challenges from the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic，and economic downturn. The basic strategy Indonesian government dealing with these shocks is Indonesian-called “Gas & Rem” strategy，which tries to balance the pandemic containing and economic recovering. As for foreign affairs，Indonesia prioritizes economic and health cooperation，and commits to strengthen consular protection and national sovereignty，to balance relations with major powers，and to play an influential role in regional and global affairs.
