Abstract:In today’s world，everyone has in himself a little bit of others. While the development of global division of labor and global value chain links various economies in the world closely together，the rising trend of de-globalization like unilateralism and trade protectionism，constant regional conflicts，global spread of the coronavirus epidemic and increasingly vulnerable political orders are posing unprecedented challenges to world economy. Hosting CIIE shows China’s long-term consideration of embracing the world and future and its commitment to the mission of jointly building a community of shared future for mankind through consultation. The pragmatic moves China has taken to open itself further up to the world and the constantly optimized business environment provide more opportunities to other countries，bolster the world’s confidence to develop with China，and advance the quality development of China. Meanwhile，holding CIIE in Shanghai will bring more opportunities for the development of the city. Based on its positioning as “five centers”，Shanghai shall enlarge opening-up and steadfastly push forward various tasks to maximize the spillover effects of CIIE.
