平安时代内侍所镜烧损事件的思想史考察

Abstract:The divine mirror，deified in the Naishi-dokoro，was damaged to varying degrees in three fire incidents during Heian Period. This study investigates the extent of damages of the mirror in the Naishi-dokoro and corresponding attitudes from imperial court，considering these suggest the divine mirror view of the ancient court in the following three aspects. The highest decision-making layer，headed by the emperor，endeavored to maintain the Tennoism，which determined coping approaches to fire incidents. the dominance hierarchy emphasized the divine origin and continuity of Japanese artifacts，consciously distinguishing them from imperial symbols that were artificially produced in ancient China，such as Royal Seal and Tripod. The mode of separating and opposing deity and man reflects a nationalistic mindset of separating and opposing Japan and China. During most of the Heian period，no obvious moral or philosophical significance about the secred mirror was endowed by the dominance hierarchy. It was recognized within the framework of the Tennoism mythology.
