2020年波兰总统选举：原因与影响

Abstract:The 2020 Polish presidential election was held on 28 June. The incumbent president Andrzej Duda （51.03%） beat challenger Rafal Trzaskowski （48.97%） by slight advantage. Under the background of COVID-19，the presidential election was deemed special：a social debate was triggered due to changes of the election date and format，and the turnout rate was extremely high. Duda’s re-election is attributed to his reliable performance in the fight against COVID-19，stable and conservative social policy，the control of media by the Law and Justice Party，and the fulfilment of his previous election promises. His re-election will ensure the policy continuity and stability，maintain the diplomatic stance which is pro-US，suspicious of Europe and anti-Russia. However，the Polish society might be increasingly torn apart.
