Abstract:Since the announcement of the “Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port” in 2020，Hainan has actively promoted the construction of a free trade port，continued to transform and develop into an open economy，and continuously built the new development paradigm with the focus on quality growth. Under the strong leadership and strong support of the central Committee of the Chinese Communist party，the construction of Hainan free trade port has accelerated，and the economy and society of Hainan Province have developed steadily. From 2020 to 2021，Hainan’s economic operation continue to improve steadily，the industry growssteadily，investment，consumption，and foreign trade increase steadily，and the ecological environment continue to improve. The economic development of Hainan Province in 2022 will show a trend of steady progress. However，it is still necessary to further accelerate the construction of a diversified marine economic development pattern，enhance the driving force of innovation，develop an open digital economy pattern，and coordinate the goals of peak carbon dioxide emissions and Carbon neutrality to further deepen the green development.
