定向、扩容、对冲：沙特参与全球经济治理——以2020年G20框架为中心

Abstract:At the joint work of global trade protectionism and the COVID-19 pandemic，some countries have adopted unilateral trade restriction measures，which have seriously damaged global industrial chains and supply chains. With both developed and emerging economies under tremendous pressure，the downward trend of the world economy is ever more obvious. As the rotating presidency of the G20 in 2020，Saudi Arabia needs to coordinate and unite member states to assume the major responsibility of restoring the world economy and boosting market confidence. At the same time，it must make a choice between trade protectionism and the multilateral trade and investment system. Saudi Arabia has adopted a strategy of targeting，expanding and offsetting in its participation in the global governance process，firmly upholding the multilateral trade and investment system，promoting WTO negotiations to include emerging economic sectors such as e-commerce and trade in services within the multilateral system，and paying attention to the needs of developing countries and LDCs to achieve sustainable development goals as a response to the “new normal” of geopolitical and trade uncertainty.
