Abstract:From the 10th to 15th century,artifacts made of two kinds of Chinese techniques:mother-of-pearl and carved lacquer,once became state gifts in diplomacy between China and Japan. The mother-of-pearl technique in Japan exceeded that in China between the 10th to 12th century.
