2020年斯洛伐克发展报告

Abstract:The Slovak Parliamentary Election was held in 2020. The right-wing political party regained control of the parliament after eight years，forming a four-party coalition government. The new government’s support rate has been declining due to COVID-19，the economic crisis，the unstable coalition，and the scandals of the high-level government officials. In terms of economy，Slovakia’s GDP has experienced negative growth for the first time since 2009，with a significant increase in unemployment and a modest decline in foreign trade. In the field of diplomacy，Slovakia firmly supports the EU and NATO and was active in the multilateral diplomacy in Central Europe. Slovakia and China maintained good cooperative relations against the pandemic and in economy and trade，although Slovakia took a relatively tough position on some sensitive issues related to China.
