欧洲左翼党的困境与发展前景——基于2019年欧洲议会选举的分析

Abstract:The European Left Party is a pan-European coalition party formed by the Communist Refoundation Party of Italy，the French Communist Party and other European radical left-wing forces such as the Die Linke in Germany. In the 2019 European Parliament elections，the seats of the European Left Party declined. Each member party holds basically the same position or opinion on the issues of EU democratic deficit，economic development，social policy and environmental protection，but shows some differences on specific regional development issues. At present，the expansion and deepening of political cooperation between the European Left Party and other workers’ parties and communist parties at the pan-European level mainly faces challenges such as ideological differences，constraints of the EU institutional framework and the rise of populism. The future development prospects of the European Left Party mainly depend on whether it can achieve constructive dialogue and unity with other major communist forces and radical left，and whether it can produce substantive theoretical breakthroughs in its criticism of capitalism.
