Abstract:In 2020，Pacific island countries and regions were also affected by COVID-19 epidemic. In anti-epidemic operations，they have introduced response measures such as early warning，isolation，restriction，blockade，and regional cooperation based on their own conditions. During the outbreak and spread of COVID-19，China and the Pacific island countries are fighting against the epidemic together，helping to cope with this public health crisis，and further strengthening the friendly and cooperative relations between the two sides. The Coronavirus Disease 2019 has had some negative impact on the economic and trade relations between China and Pacific island countries. In the near future，China should continue to maintain and develop its relations with Pacific island countries under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
