Abstract:The construction of the marine ecological civilization demonstration zone is an important window for examining the development of my country’s marine ecological civilization. The various problems in the construction of the demonstration zone can also directly reflect the shortcomings of my country’s marine ecological civilization development strategy. This report is based on studying the current status of the construction of marine ecological civilization demonstration areas in 2020. This year is a key node in the planning and construction of many demonstration areas. However，due to the impact of the COVID-19，the demonstration areas are constructed in the development of marine economy，utilization of marine resources，and marine ecology. The construction of the five major index systems of protection，marine culture construction，and marine management guarantee did not achieve the expected results. At the same time，under the influence of the epidemic，it also exposed the shortcomings of the demonstration zone construction in the fields of marine industry optimization，marine management system，and foreign maritime cooperation. But it also reflects certain characteristics of the construction of the marine ecological civilization demonstration area，such as the synchronization of economic construction and ecological civilization construction，the integration of cultural construction and economic construction，and the outstanding construction of marine law enforcement. In the future，the construction of the marine ecological civilization demonstration zone should firmly grasp the general trend of information technology and economic recovery，and gradually reform in the aspects of optimizing the marine industry，fulfilling the responsibilities of marine management work，and strengthening maritime cooperation with other countries，and strive to create an international Influential marine ecological civilization demonstration area.
