2019~2020年马来西亚华文和马来文媒体对“一带一路”的认知差异——基于《星洲日报》《当今大马》报道的对比分析

Abstract:Malaysia is one of the countries that has continued its concern of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. From the glorious year of China-Malaysia’s “Belt and Road” cooperation in 2019 to 2020 when the government was replaced and the COVID-19 epidemic was raging，a series of changes in Malaysia’s domestic situation has brought uncertainty to the relevant cooperation. This report compares and analyses the news coverage of the “Belt and Road” by the Malaysian Chinese-language media，Sin Chew Daily，and the Malay-language media，Malaysia Kini from 2019 to 2020. Through a long-term follow-up of the news reports on the “Belt and Road” Initiative in these two mainstream Malaysian media，this report finds that the two mainstream media focus on the economic development opportunities Malaysia has gained from the “Belt and Road” Initiative，but there are also concerns about some contentious topics. The report also tries to make suggestions on how China can better communicate the “Belt and Road” Initiative to people around the world and give informative advice on China’s foreign propaganda.
