Abstract:Macao had ever played a vital role in the Maritime Silk Route，which connecting ancient China and other continents including Asia，Europe，America and Africa in Ming Dynasty （1368-1644）. Goods and silver transferred between Mainland China and other parts of the world through Macao，which left valuable experience of transit center for it. Nowadays，Macao still keeps intimate interaction with the Latin countries，and this will be an advantage for Macao to take participate in the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road. What’s more，the stratagem status for Macao in connecting Mainland China and the world will gain greater significance as people and product exchange grows in the near future. To cope with the ordeal challenge of the singularization of industial structure，Macao should take this opportunity to develop its position of transit center，which will lead to diversification by deepening internationalization，by promptly expand aerial transportation range，especially for nonstop South America. In this studies，Macao’s experience of being a transshipment hub in the history and its effects to modern Macao has being discussed；and then continued the necessity and opportunity of constructing an Aerial Transit Center in Macao. In the last two parts，we take the tourism industry for example to specifically illustrate the prospect of aerial transport of Macao and then give several advices for restoring Macao’s transition center position.
