Abstract:Being one of the six economic corridors of “the Belt and Road” Initiative，the Indochina Economic Corridor is based on the multi-level connectivity system between China and countries in the peninsula and expected to deepen the economic and trade cooperation between regional countries. Kunming-Bangkok Economic Belt lies in the hinterland of this region and constitutes the backbone of the Indochina Economic Corridor，with Myanmar and Vietnam being the two wings. The Kunming-Bangkok Economic Belt is based on the Kunming-Bangkok highway and the productivity cooperation is linked by regional value chain. Conductive to the coordinated production in China，Laos and Thailand，the Kunming-Bangkok economic belt is a boost to regional economic integration and further opening-up of China’s southwest provinces.
