中韩FTA的推进与预期效应

Abstract:On December 20，2015，the China-Korea FTA took effect.This agreement achieves such goals as “a general balance of interests，comprehensiveness，and high level”，signifying the emergence of a second generation of FTA in East Asia.The China-Korea FTA will assist an effective linking of China's “One Belt，One Road” Initiative with ROK's “Eurasia Initiative”.By the same token，it signifies the importance of this “2+” model on advancing cooperation among East Asian countries in the future.Nevertheless，a retrospect on the process of negotiations reveals the difficulties encountered therein.Due to the different stages of development，China and South Korea have various interests，areas，and sensitive issues.In spite of all these differences，both countries have handled these focus issues properly，thus opening a new model of treaty and concluding successfully the negotiations.In the future，during the implementation of the China-Korea FTA，there is a necessity for both countries to rely on the FTA and a good strategic partnership，so as to guide this bilateral economic cooperation towards a positive complementarity instead of competition.
