Abstract:Outer space which our peace and development depend on is now at its critical moment，the strategic pattern in outer space is evolving to a multipolar one，the arms race in outer space becomes increasingly intense and outer space is entering weaponization era. There exist deficiencies and shortages among the current international security order and rules for outer space which need to be revised，replenished and perfected. The impeding task for international community is to conclude the Treaty on the Prevention of the Deployment of Weapons in Outer Space，the threat or Use of Force Against Outer Space Objects. Other security issues such as space debris，traffic jam，transparency and confidence-building measures and so on should be addressed under the framework of prevention of arms race and weaponization in outer space，which is the most important，severe and pressing issue.
