Abstract:The integrated development of airline and railway is an important path for the innovative development of domestic and foreign aviation hub regions. The construction of an airline-railway integrated economic demonstration zone is conducive to taking advantage of Guangzhou’s airline-railway passenger and freight transportation integration，location，transportation，and industrial advantages，and serving the province to create a strategic fulcrum for a new development pattern. This paper sorts out the basic conditions of the demonstration zone and the difficulties in overall planning and coordination，the weak connection of the hub，the difficulty in balancing the old reforms，and the difficulty in land integration. It is suggested that the Guangzhou Airline-Railway Convergence Economic Demonstration Zone should construct a spatial layout of “one core，two poles，three axes，and four areas”. In addition，this article proposes to optimize the scope of demonstration planning，improve the cross-regional coordination mechanism，strengthen the “main engine” of the airport economic demonstration zone，build the core carrier of the “double integration” of Huadu’s airline-railway and port industry，promote the development of the northern part of Baiyun，vigorously promote the renovation of old villages around the airport，actively strive for higher-level policy support and etc.
