Abstract:At present，overseas economic and trade cooperation zones face many challenges and risks amid the profound impacts brought by major events such as the China-US trade friction and the Covid-19 epidemic. The high-quality development of such cooperation zones must not only align with China’s national development strategies，but also harmonize with the development strategies of host countries，and furthermore，make important contributions to promoting investment and trade globalization，rational division of labor，and sustainable global supply chain system. To this end，cooperation zones must uphold the principles of innovation，openness，greenness，sharing and integrity in the process of construction and development. It is necessary to build unique platforms for soft environment and hard condition，foster a comprehensive risk management system，explore innovative development models，and cultivate advantageous industries and industrial clusters，so as to realize stable long-term development.
