中国城市公众对国际新闻的接触与评价

Abstract:International news is important information resource for public understanding of the world. By analyzing the data of national survey -“the Chinese world outlook” in 2014，this paper investigated the condition of Chinese contact and evaluation on international news in the urban areas. According to the analysis，the new media has become an important channel for public access to international news，even more important than traditional media channels represented by television and newspaper，and the importance of social network as a transporter of international news also can not be discounted. Those who are older，male，higher educated，as well as with higher incomes，may have higher frequency of contacting international news. The United States，Japan，Russia，North Korea，South Korea，Britain，Iraq，Germany and France，are the most often seen countries in international news. The study also found that about sixty percent of the respondents think that the traditional media are objective on reports of international news，the remaining forty percent do not. Respondents’cultural experience about western countries weakened their judgments on the objectivity of international report by China’s news media.
