2019~2020年新发展格局背景下广州加快建设国际消费中心城市研究

Abstract:Under the background of the new development paradigm，building an international consumption center city is an important measure to strengthen the role of consumption in economic development on the strategic basis of expanding domestic demand. As a commercial city with a history of thousands of years，Guangzhou leads cities in China in terms of the scale of social consumer goods retail，consumption of service industry and degree of internationalization. With a good foundation for building an international consumption center city，yet Guangzhou is facing problems such as relatively insufficient high-end consumption resources supply and relative platform shortage for international consumption. Efforts should be made to expand the international consumer market，build new international cooperation platforms，construct international consumption system，build international consumption carriers，and cultivate new products，new forms and new modes of consumption. Guangzhou should speed up the construction of an international consumption center city，so as to make positive contributions to China’s implementation of the strategy of expanding domestic demand and accelerating the construction of the new development paradigm featuring both international and domestic circulations.
