2018～2019年韩国对大洋洲外交

Abstract:On the basis of attaching great importance to the traditional “Four Powers diplomacy”，Moon Jae-in government is dedicated to making Korean diplomacy going global truly. Under this background，diplomacy towards Oceania has become one of the key directions of Korean diplomacy in 2018. South Korea has strengthened exchanges with Oceania countries through political diplomacy，economic diplomacy and cultural diplomacy，which further promotes the development of bilateral relations. However，some problems also exist such as insufficient attention，slow economic and trade development as well as inadequate humanities exchanges. Therefore，South Korea has made efforts to adjust its diplomacy to Oceania，aiming to highlight key points and comprehensively deepen relations with Oceania countries，and make it a key area for promoting South Korea’s economic and social development，enhancing national influence，and strengthening its ability to set the international agenda.
