Abstract:With the increasing of Oceania strategic position in the Asia-Pacific region even the Indo-Pacific region in recent years，its rank in Japan’s diplomatic layout has advanced and has become an important part of Japan’s strategy of achieving a “normal state”. In 2008，taking geo-politics，geo-economy，geo-security into consideration，Japan has achieved relocation towards Oceania in the policy level. Japan’s foreign policy towards the strategic partners of Oceania and the South Pacific island countries has also continuously put forward new measures on the basis of the past，which reflects the strong geopolitical security as well as presents a new trend of enriching cooperation issues and diversifying cooperation methods.
