中国阿拉伯环境合作有待拓展深入

Abstract:The Arab countries generally suffer from harsh natural environment，scarcity of fresh water and vegetation，shortage of agricultural land，desert-dominated land，and hot and dry climate，which have jointed resulted in developmental delay and retardedness. After entering the era of oil energy，some oil-rich countries have achieved leapfrog development. However，the congenital weakness of the environment still lies there. Moreover，the Arab countries are facing new challenges from environmental pollution，land degradation and desertification. China and the Arab countries all belong to the developing countries，and based on common needs，are actively carrying out environmental cooperation. They，taking participation in international multilateral environmental negotiations as a starting point and the Sino-Arab Cooperation Forum as a new platform，have initiated a multi-level discussion concerning environment protection and mechanism construction. This cooperation needs to be further expanded and deepened in priority ranking and effectiveness enhancing.
