Abstract:Due to the lack of agricultural production and the necessary land and water resources，almost no Arab country has the ability to achieve food self-sufficiency，or the Arabs have to rely on imports for food and other basic foodstuffs. The inhabitants feel extremely sensitive to food prices . As the Arab food security has exogenous characteristics，the future trend of international food prices will be the primary factor affecting the Arab food security situation. Since it is anticipated that the future global food prices and other basic food prices will fall，the Arab food security situation will be somewhat improved. In turn，the risks of food prices incurred political unrest will be substantially reduced.
