Abstract:With the rapid increase in sales and market share of electric vehicles,the pain points found in the applicability of this type of vehicle has gradually become the focus of consumers. Especially affected by the low temperature weather in winter,the electric vehicle’s battery range is greatly shortened,power performance is reduced,accuracy of battery range estimation is reduced and charging time is lengthened,which has caused many users to complain. Combining with the EV-TEST project on electric vehicles operated by the China Automotive Technology & Research Center,this article verifies the impact of the low temperature environment on electric vehicles in all aspects,evaluates and analyzes the low temperature resistance performance of mainstream electric vehicles sold in the market in the past few years,conducts in-depth analysis on the influence of low temperature environment on the battery range of electric vehicles and puts forward the corresponding suggestions for optimization.
