Abstract:Based on the basic data about the development of China’s new energy vehicle market in 2020,this article evaluates the overall level of competitiveness of Chinese new energy vehicle companies and the level of competitiveness among different companies. The results show that China’s new energy vehicle companies overcame the adverse effects of the COVID-19 Epidemic and their comprehensive competitiveness showed strong resilience in 2020. From the perspective of the corporate composite index,the overall competitiveness of new energy vehicle companies returned to a relatively high level in 2020. New energy passenger vehicle companies overcame the impact of the COVID-19 Epidemic and their comprehensive competitiveness returned to a higher level;while the comprehensive index of passenger vehicle companies declined severely and the development continued to slow down. In 2020,the market has been adjusted and the competition has become increasingly fierce:the competitive pattern of new energy passenger car enterprises has undergone fundamental changes and gradually evolved into the “three powerful” pattern of SAIC,Tesla and BYD. The competitiveness pattern of new energy bus companies still maintains the pattern of “one-super” and “multiple power” industrial concentration has been further enhanced. Since we enter to the 2020s,the new energy vehicle market will usher in an unprecedented change in the history of automobile development in a century. Whether the “new entrants” in the competitive landscape of new energy vehicle companies will bring new atmosphere to the “unchanged” pattern of the new energy vehicle market in 2010s?It will be a potential variable creating market changes in future.
