Abstract:In 2020，the COVID-19 epidemic swept the world. While criticizing the shortages and disorders of the European public health system，the European Communist Parties strongly appeal to the public to pay attention to the ecological crisis and climate changes，incorporating ecological rights as the new content of class struggle. In recent years，the European communist and workers’ parties have accelerated the process of “greening” adjustment from the perspectives of theory，organizational structure and political activities. This kind of adjustment has produced a positive impact on the new development of Marxism in Europe，but it has not yet effectively pushed the European communist movement out of the low tide. How to promote the public’s recognition of “Red is New Green” and break the vanguard role of the green parties in green politics and the challenge it poses to class identity are issues that the European communist and workers’ parties should pay attention to in the future “greening” adjustment.
